Skin is so temperamental, with the slightest change in climate, foods and lifestyle reflecting on your skin.
It’s important to keep up a good skincare routine, even whilst travelling. Especially when you’re on a long-haul flight. Dehydration from lack of drinking water and from the cold air conditioner o the plane, is hell for your skin and can cause horrible breakouts, which are hard to get rid of and something you don’t want to have to deal with whilst on holidays.
So, travelling with the right beauty products definitely makes a considerable difference in up keeping your skin’s condition and help you enjoy your holiday even more, without stressing about breakouts, dry skin or icky excess oils.
I always make sure to pack the following products to ensure my skin is well balanced, cleansed and protected, so it can function properly; especially if you find your diet is a little our of order whilst travelling about.
TN Dickinson Witch Hazel Face Wipes:
These handy face wipes come in a handy tub which fits into any bag. They exfoliate and cleanse at the same time, which is perfect for travelling to help reduce what your packing. The clean, cleanse, exfoliate and tone whilst the witch hazel kills off any bacteria growing stuck on the skin.
Murad Renewing Eye Cream:
This is a recent addition to my eye care routine and I am in love. The cream is soft and easy to wear with other beauty products (even makeup) and is loaded with antioxidants. So, not only will your eyes always look soft and well hydrated, they will look amazing too. A small squirt goes a long way, so don’t be put off by the small package, it will last you on a long trip away.
Jurlique Nutri-Defence Face Serum:
Serums are the perfect travel companion. And the plus side is, you can use as many serums as you like, as they are all water based. So pack as many as you want, for hydration, for protection, for added vitamins and minerals – they are perfect for mixing and matching to keep skin young and firm looking. I love this oil by Jurlique, it;s rich in antioxidants, so it help fight free radicals.
Clinique Moisture Surge Serum:
One of the best moisture serums I’ve used. It’s more like a gel that that of the watery serums, and it provides the skin with all the juicy hydrating ingredients needed for healthy looking skin. Like the eye cream, this products goes a long way. One pump morning and night and your skin will stay soft all day long, especially when used with Clinique new 72-hour moisture surge face cream.
Clinique Moisture Surge 72-hour Face Cream:
This cream is AMAZING. I will say it again, AMAZING. Even after washing your face, your skin feels deeply moisturised. It’s perfect for travel, and goes a long way also. Used with all the above products you skin will stay well hydrated, soft and smooth and look revitalised all day (and night) long. This cream comes in a variety of sizes, so you can purchase the small one also, if you want to take on the place with you.
Expert Tip: Although I wear makeup on the plane, on the long-haul flights, when the lights dim in the cabin, I always spend some quality time cleaning my face before relaxing and trying to sleep. So packing handy cabind sized beauty products is a must. And my expert tip is, make sure to pack an extra tub of Witch Hazel Wipes for the plane, along with a leave on face mask, something which absorbs into the skin and doesn’t leave a residue. These two products are literally all you need for the plane. The wipes do everything you need to clean the skin and the mask will hydrate and keep skin looking it’s best whilst travelling for long periods of time in air conditioner.
