Celebrating Eggs at the Eggcellence Awards 2019

    October 10, 2019 /

I’m all egged our after celebrating the 2019 Eggcellence Awards for 2019 Did you know more than seventy millions of eggs are consumed a day? That’s a lot of eggs. And although I don’t mind enjoying an egg here and there, they aren’t the main part of my diet. So, to spend a morning eating four different meals designed around eggs may sound like fun. But in fact, I’m totally egged out and probably won’t touch one in a very long while LOL. The awards were a lot of fun to attend though, hosted by celebrity chef Emmanuel Feildel, and each meal was fabulous and though I couldn’t eat all…

Smirnoff Infusions: A New Cocktail for Summer

    October 6, 2019 /

Smirnoff has released a fabulous new fruit infusion just in time for Summer. Although summer is still a good two months away, the heat in Australia has already begun to rise. And as the winter vibes begin to fade to be replaced with ones of balmy nights and cocktails by the beach, for anyone who enjoys an alcoholic beverage from time to time, you’ll love the new Smirnoff Infusions. They are low in calories and very low in alcohol content. This means you can enjoy a delicious tasting summery cocktail with friends and still be able to drive home. The new Smirnoff Infusion range is all sugar-free and available in…

Celebrating Coffee Every Day of the Week with Robert Timms

    September 29, 2019 /

Robert Timms has launched their new cafe series coffee bags and they are delicious. I was first introduced to the coffee bag range by Robert Timms more than twenty years ago. Wow, I’m showing my age now LOL. My mum received a variety of different bags in a Christmas hamper and I was fascinated by the concept of having coffee brewed in a little bag. At the time I was new to coffee and my taste buds hadn’t yet been exposed to cappuccinos, espressos or mochas, so I was generally drinking instant Moconna coffee. Though most households were probably drinking Nescafé blend 43 (yikes), thankfully my mother had better taste…

August Recap: Here’s What I Got Up To for the Month of August

    September 4, 2019 /

August was a busy month, from road trips, beauty launches and catch-ups with friends, this is what I got up to over the last four weeks. A while ago, I think it was back in March, I made a decision to start sharing in an end of month blog, all the exciting beauty launches I attended, any road trips I’ve taken, essentially anything interesting I’ve done through the month, I was going to photograph it, record it and then share it with you. Of course, as months went past and the days got busier, I completely forgot about this idea, so I’m starting fresh this September to recap and share…

A Fabulous NEW Magnesium Brand Has Launched in Australia

    July 29, 2019 /

Attended the fabulous launch of Abundant Natural Health, new magnesium-based beauty and health brand released in Australia for Bondi Beauty. The launch included three key products for the brand, they are a Magnesium Body Oil, a Magnesium Body Spray and a Magnesium Exfoliating Soap. Super exciting, as I’m a massive advocate for magnesium and don’t think we get enough of it daily. Especially women. Magnesium plays a vital role in overall health and wellbeing, working to heal the gut, assist with inflammation and pain; especially when it’s that time of the month, and can also improve sleep and assist in alleviating stress, reducing tension in the nervous system. What had…

This was seriously their best theme ever.

If you go at night, all the beautiful mosaic lanterns are lit as well. So amazing.

Enjoying the latest instalment of a Moroccan inspired theme @thegrounds 🌟🌟

This is probably my fave set up they have ever done. And the lovely touch of giant Easter eggs amongst the mosaic lighting dangling from the sky, is a beautiful touch. The perfect combination of east meets west.

The art of taking photos of food... I am no master The art of taking photos of food... I am no master at it. But I love capturing food shots as natural as possible. Sometimes they’ll include hands in the shot, used coffee cups and people.

I’m finding myself more and more, seeking out less structured photos, and something more natural, and unpredictable. Unfiltered (when possible), and transparent as well.

And despite what my Instagram page shows, I actually don’t eat out as much as you think I might. The key thing is, when out eating, is to take a variety of different photos from different angles of your food and from different perspectives, so you have a variety of different photos and unique content posts for your feeds.

Yes, I’m sharing secrets here. You can create at least 3 different photos from one meal, at different angles, using different featured parts of the table, and you’ll have content for the week - you’re welcome.

This has become my new favourite place to relax at This has become my new favourite place to relax at... Lake Illawarra in Wollongong 🌊

It’s so pretty here. And no matter how many people are here, there is so much space, making it easy to find a place to sit back, relax and take a swim, without being in each other faces and no overcrowding.

I was a little bummed I didn’t take my swimmers, as the weather started so strange and overcast and then turned spectacular. But that didn’t stop my from pulling up my pants and taking a walk through the water, which was the best temperature for swimming 💙

The very old and historic viaduct railway bridge in Picton.

In the 1800s, there used to be a popular swimming hole here, just before the railway bridge. But all that’s left now, is the old concrete slab and stone steps, carved into the rock for access in and out 🌟💚🌟

Do you ever feel stuck in a rut with cooking food at home?

I go through these weird transitions, where I get seriously bored with the food I make at home and want more interesting and different foods. This is when I find myself eating out more. Which is not a bad things. Though my bank account would seriously disagree LOL..

It felt more like spring today, than Autumn. The It felt more like spring today, than Autumn.

The sun was beaming, the birds, bees and butterflies were out. The fruit trees were blossoming and the skies were a beautiful blue, with hardly a cloud to be seen.

Hard to believe I am still in Sydney. Celebrating a family engagement, at a house which is more like Greece than Sydney, with so many fruit trees, but trees, herbs and spices growing and behind me is actually a bee hive. Lucky they are too busy to notice me hovering around hehe.
