DIY Christmas Wreath – How to Make One

    December 9, 2020 /

Almost every year, I find myself making some DIY Christmas decoration. This year it was wreaths. Okay, so if you have been following my blog for a while, you’ll know that several years ago, I made a Christmas wreath back then too. However, my skills have definitely developed, going next level with my design skills and wreath making. Now, this wreath was given to my BFF as a Christmas present, which is why she is featured in the cover photo of this blog. So, of course, I had to take my design skills to the next level to produce something I was not only proud of, but something she would…

How to Build Your Very Own Cactus Terrarium

    May 13, 2020 /

Pass your time being stuck in lockdown making your very own mini cactus terrarium. This is what I’ve loved most about the whole lockdown experience, getting back in touch with my creative and arty side, designing homewares and other fabulous things around the house. From staying in drinking hot chocolates, snuggled on the couch, watching some brilliant International television shows and movies, to concentrating more on my writing and getting back into reading, I’ve really taken the whole lockdown experience as a way of getting back in touch with everything I love doing. And without the distractions of other things which usually took up most of my time, I’ve managed…

    Easter Egg Decorating Without Ink

    April 10, 2019 /

I have found four beautiful new ways to decorate your Easter eggs without using any ink. I’ve been dipping my eggs into food dye for as long as I can remember, so far back, I even remember the good old days, when we used to soak red onion skins in hot water before dipping stocking wrapped eggs into the coloured water for the best tie die looks for Easter. Gone are the days of dye dipping your eggs, there are so many other great ways to decorate your eggs, and the best part, it’s not that complicated either. How adorable are these cactus inspired Easter eggs. Head off to your…

DIY Christmas Wreath for Under $20

    December 14, 2018 /

Making your very own personalised Christmas Wreath has never been easier. I made mine for under $20. Now it’s your turn. I’ve always been a massive fan of making my own Christmas decorations, from a very young age. Whether that was making wreaths, baubles for the tree, or garland to decorate the fireplace; when we had one that was. So, I decided to go on a mission, to create a wreath to match any person’s budget. This one cost me exactly $16 to make (I mean WOW). I feel like every year, it gets easier and easier to make your own decorations and for such an affordable price also. Of…

Does anyone else find themselves thinking deeply about life when they are by the sea? I don’t know why, perhaps it’s the vastness of the ocean. I always sit and watch the water in quietness, absorbing and thinking and wondering about life 💙

But my favourite spot of all to photograph the harbour is from the Royal Botanical Gardens. Especially at Mrs Macquarie’s Chair. So many different angles to play with and interesting views 💙💙

My Chiro told me about these fabulous cliffs to visit near Kiama, which are actually an abandoned quarry. It’s called #bomboquarry and they are easy to get to & find - just make sure you wear sunscreen, a hat and take water. It’s a big walk, but a fabulous experience

I find from 11am to 5pm WAY too hot to my liking in summer and tend to stay indoors where it’s cooler - unless I’m out adventuring.

Took this lovely pic of Sydney Harbour at Mrs Macquaries Chair, looking out towards Manly way across the water, as the sun was setting over the city of Sydney behind me 💚💙
