Paddington Reservoir: Sit, Relax and Unwind
Paddington Reservoir in Sydney’s East is a well-kept secret, which many Sydney-siders haven’t even heard about. It dates back to 1866 and was in full operation until 1899 before being closed down. For a while, it sat in transit, as unused space, lost in history and forgotten. Until it was re-opened in 2006 as a beautiful sunken garden and water retreat for locals to take a stroll, sit and sunbake, read, study or explore the old caverns of the reservoir.
