5 Abandoned Locations Worth Visiting Around The World

    August 23, 2020 /

I can’t wait for the international borders to open up, so I can start booking air tickets to visit some of these amazing abandoned locations. By now many of you may have already guessed, I loved Urbex travel. If you’re unsure what that is, it’s essentially the concept of exploring abandoned locations and documenting past history. However, unlike many other parts of the world, many urban locations across Australia (particularly here in Sydney) are either owned by the government or still privately owned. Which means exploring many of these places is rather difficult to achieve, as they are often surrounded with high security fences and camera equipment to prevent any…

9 Airport Tips to Help You Travel Better

    June 10, 2020 /

As lockdown restrictions ease more and more each week, the prospect of travelling domestically and internationally to New Zealand only in the beginning is slowly turning a reality. So I thought I would help get you prepped for when that time comes, with a few tips and tricks to help you travel better. Not to take precedent off anyone who doesn’t live in Australia, but let me just say us Aussies go through a lot when we travel overseas. Yes alright, play the violin LOL. That’s not to say of course, anyone else who lives outside of Australia doesn’t endure a long-haul flight like we do. This does also include…

6 Travel Destinations on My List for 2020

    April 5, 2020 /

These are the six travel destination I have on my checklist for 2020. Once we are out of a travel ban that is. After spending the last two years really buckling down on my studies to complete my university degree in journalism and also setting up myself as a freelance writer and content creator, I am finally ready to start exploring some places this year and taking some time out for myself. Although I did manage to visit a few cool places last year for 20129, I found myself so busy completing my degree and trying to do as much freelance work as possible, to set myself up financially –…

Paddington Reservoir: Sit, Relax and Unwind

    March 29, 2020 /

Paddington Reservoir in Sydney’s East is a well-kept secret, which many Sydney-siders haven’t even heard about. It dates back to 1866 and was in full operation until 1899 before being closed down. For a while, it sat in transit, as unused space, lost in history and forgotten. Until it was re-opened in 2006 as a beautiful sunken garden and water retreat for locals to take a stroll, sit and sunbake, read, study or explore the old caverns of the reservoir. Following on from my ‘Things to do in Sydney’ (mostly for free or on a budget) this reservoir is a must-see for anyone passing through Sydney on a visit and…

This has become my new favourite place to relax at This has become my new favourite place to relax at... Lake Illawarra in Wollongong 🌊

It’s so pretty here. And no matter how many people are here, there is so much space, making it easy to find a place to sit back, relax and take a swim, without being in each other faces and no overcrowding.

I was a little bummed I didn’t take my swimmers, as the weather started so strange and overcast and then turned spectacular. But that didn’t stop my from pulling up my pants and taking a walk through the water, which was the best temperature for swimming 💙

The very old and historic viaduct railway bridge in Picton.

In the 1800s, there used to be a popular swimming hole here, just before the railway bridge. But all that’s left now, is the old concrete slab and stone steps, carved into the rock for access in and out 🌟💚🌟

The one thing I love more than travelling, is chilling at home with this guy. Grabbing some vitamin D, in the fresh air and appreciating the small things that make me happy - like my cat hehe.. 🌟🌟 Note: make sure mute is off so you can hear the crunching sounds LOL. So cute 🥰

Do you ever feel stuck in a rut with cooking food at home?

I go through these weird transitions, where I get seriously bored with the food I make at home and want more interesting and different foods. This is when I find myself eating out more. Which is not a bad things. Though my bank account would seriously disagree LOL..

It felt more like spring today, than Autumn. The It felt more like spring today, than Autumn.

The sun was beaming, the birds, bees and butterflies were out. The fruit trees were blossoming and the skies were a beautiful blue, with hardly a cloud to be seen.

Hard to believe I am still in Sydney. Celebrating a family engagement, at a house which is more like Greece than Sydney, with so many fruit trees, but trees, herbs and spices growing and behind me is actually a bee hive. Lucky they are too busy to notice me hovering around hehe.

In the meantime, I’ll enjoy the extra green foliage across Sydney right now, after two weeks of rain. All the plants are glowing, so beautiful.

Stumbled across this cute little church walking in Paddington. Very quiet and peaceful.

@luxaestiva Gypsy Oil

This delicious smelling body oil, infused with all the right ingredients to nourish and protect skin, has worked wonders in keeping my skin protected and well hydrated in the wild weather, with temps dropping from high to low in a matter of seconds.

You can easily replace you moisturise for this oil. Or if you prefer to not use too much of this oil, to make it last longer. Apply your normal body moisturiser at night before bed, and then in the morning replace your body cream for this oil instead. Amazing 🌟
