Favourite Green and Clean Beauty Products for the Month of May

I’ve been feeling little green so far this month, so I am celebrating the month with some beautiful green beauty products.

Now when I say feeling green, I don’t mean that I am feeling sick LOL. Though most would probably read that line and assume that right away, feeling green may mean feeling unwell. Not at all.

In-fact, I have never felt more healthy and alive. Perhaps from self-isolating, staying safe at home, in a time when in Australia most cold and flus are spreading like wildfire through the city.

And that was before the invention of COVID-19.

Autumn is my favourite season, and I love getting out and about in the streets of Sydney and surrounding suburbs, exploring the streets of trees with their changing leave colours.

The temps are cool, the sun is out, the colours are vibrant and sipping chai lattes whilst watching the wind whistle through the streets, whirling dropped leaves across the road. We are seriously lucky in Australia to have some of the most beautiful Autumn days. Although it can be challenging when you need to be indoors with the heater on by 3pm out of the cold, as the day turns darker earlier, at 5pm. But I’m not complaining as I love a good snuggle at home with a hot chocolate, watching my favourite television show.

This of course, goes hand in hand with beauty.

Though isolation and lockdown restrictions have ceased in some part here in Australia, over the course of the last few months I have seriously enjoyed spending time at home, catching up on television shows I have never had the chance to watch. Sort through all my beauty products and bring out many I have been dying to try, but just kept running out of time.

By trying a variety of different products I have been exploring green beauty products. When I say green, this means, products which are made from the earth as naturally sourced as possible, safe for the planet, may even help protect the planet; such as the use recyclable packaging and of course treat my skin to what it deserves – health and life.

This is what I have been exploring so far for the month of May:

Beauty for the month of May
  • UpCircle Body Coffee Scrub with Peppermint
  • UpCircle Coffee Soap Bar infused with Chai Spices
  • The Body Shop Drops of Youth Serum
  • Naturally Serious Supercharge Antioxidant Serum
  • Lush Herbalism Face Cleanser

UpCircle are a fabulous beauty brand from the UK, who uses recyclable packaging and coffee for their ingredients. The products are infused with essential and botanical oils for a deep cleanse to the skin and boost of hydration and moisture.

The brand is ethical, cruelty-free and vegan.

The Body Shop Drops of Youth Serum is richly hydrating and has helped to smooth any ageing lines around the eyes and the mouth. The serum has been ideal whilst we have been transitioning from warm to cool. And the ingredients of this products are 99 percent from natural origin.

Naturally Serious was created out of the same lab as June Jacobs and Peter Thomas Roth and the ingredient are all ethically sourced, naturally derived and guarantee instant results in the management of skin issues. A promise I feel they most certainly do deliver on. I am a fan of PRT products and June Jacobs, so I knew I would love this brand too.

The serum uses patented Anti-Pollution Blend of berries.

LUSH – I mean if you are looking for a brand and product which is completely vegan, cruelty-free, natural and almost so healthy and natural you could actually eat it, Lush is the brand you want to reach for over anything else. Especially their herbalism cleanser, which has worked wonders for my blemishes.

Soft Oatmeal, and plenty of green essential oils and ingredients to boost skin health. This mask smells like a forest after the rain.
