I’m obsessed with Christmas. But even more so, I am obsessed with Christmas candles.
Christmas is my favourite time of the year. From the decorations, to the festive vibes channeling through the air, everything from cinnamon and ginger spiced treats to Michael Buble’s version of Jingle Bells being played on repeat in the stores – there’s just something purely magical about the whole month of December.
And, of course let’s not forget about all the stunning Christmas themed candles made available at all our favourite stores. But, instead of sharing the new scents of 2018, with you. I wanted to share four of my favourite, which come around every December and just can’t seem to get enough of:
A golden oldie by Glasshouse, most houses will be burning this candle again this year as it;s their most popular candle every Christmas. Inspired by plum puddings made from blackcurrants, lemon, lavender and brandy, this candle is best burned on Christmas Day night when you;re getting ready to serve up a delicious plum pudding.
This is a yearly favourite of mine by The Body Shop. It reminds me of Christmas in a European pine forest, with secret houses dotted through snowfields, covered in fairy lights. I love burning this candle on Christmas Eve night, as it;s creates the perfect ambience throughout the house, of fresh festive pine and snow. Not that snow smells LOL.
Made with a yummy mix of gingerbread, cinnamon and brown sugar, your house will smell like a Christmas bakery. Every year DUSK release a gingerbread candle and every year I buy one LOL. This year, they have redesigned the packaging using a cute gingerbread house theme. Burn this candle on Christmas morning and watch everyone’s tastes buds get excited for the day’s festivities.
Yes, in case you hadn’t noticed, I do love a good pine scented candle. I’ve always loved pine and enjoy travelling to locations where there are fields of pine trees to explore and wander through, so of course, a pine candle at Christmas is a real no brainer in my household. This candle is perfect to be burned all through Christmas, as it’s fresh and light with notes of citrus and rosewood mixed with fresh pine.
And there you have it – my go to Christmas candles I always come back to every time of the festive year.
