I’m seriously crushing over Heart and Soul cafe in Cronulla right now, and let me tell you why.
Of course, I know I’ve blogged multiple times about my favourite cafes around Sydney and they do often change from season to season, depending on the menu. And, I’m pretty sure I’ve blogged about Heart and Soul a variety of times, or maybe just once.
So, I wanted to share some insight into this little casual cafe set up on a side street away from the crowds in Cronulla.
Firstly, as simple as this cafe looks on the outside, on the inside there is a borage of different smells and sounds resulting in an incredible menu of foods which range from roasted pumpkin on toast and buckwheat pancakes to spiced pumpkin lattes or blue spirulina lattes.
Secondly, the service which is absolutely outstanding. Happy smiling faces greeting every customer and good time had between them all. They chatter well amongst each other and share that kindness and friendliness with the customers too.
And if the first two reasons are not enough to entice you to visit this quintessential casual cafe, I know the third reason will most definitely get you in.
Their food is absolutely incredible and so full of taste, you’ll either want seconds or be back the next day.
I’ve tried their Acai bowls on a hot summers day, their buckwheat and fruit pancakes in spring and roasted pumpkin on toast for brunch in winter, but by far their spiced pumpkin latte made with real pumpkin is what really makes me keep coming back from more.
The latte is made with spiced roasted mashed pumpkin of cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves, all deliciously mixed with any frothed milk of your choice and topped with cinnamon and chocolate.
It’s like drinking pumpkin pie, in the literal sense.
Here’s a hint though, they did change their menu often to reflect the season, but do keep their key signature dishes serving all year around. So, if you want to try their spiced pumpkin latte, I suggest you make a visit ASAP, before it goes.
